About Fleshquartet

Fleshquartet, Fläskkvartetten in Swedish, grew out of three musicians who met at Stockholm’s Royal College of Music in the 1970s and rebuilt the string quartet: electrified instruments, percussion and programming against heavy beats.

Mattias Helldén and Sebastian Öberg on cello, Örjan Högberg on viola, Jonas Lindgren on violin and Christian Olsson on drums released twelve albums between Meat Beat in 1987 and Voices of Eden in 2007, with Freddie Wadling among the guests. Flow won a Grammis in 1993 and the group received Expressen’s Spelmannen award in 2002. The music has also been used in the TV series Wallander. We manage the songs in our catalogue.
