About Comedia Music Publishing

Comedia Music Publishing was founded by Claes Olson, a Gävle-born music figure who played in Zeke Varg in the 1970s and 1980s and has been called the Grandfather of Swedish Indie Music. The company is closely tied to his home town.

Comedia released the compilation 45 Postcards from Gävle in autumn 2024: 45 artists with roots in the city, spanning 1979 to 2024, among them P.F. Commando, Stefan Sundström, Caroline af Ugglas, Miss Li and Marty Willson-Piper, with Olson producing 18 of the tracks himself. The catalogue is built on hand-played music where the songwriting carries the weight. We represent the catalogue.
