About Johan Hansson
Johan Hansson writes music and lyrics and records on his own, and has released his music under several names. Unitary began in 2001 as futurepop in the vein of Covenant and VNV Nation, and the 2011 album Safe from Harm leaned further into synth pop.
We The North moves between electro-pop and EBM, a kind of Nordic Noir in sound, with Dayblind in 2016 followed by Unhealing. Mondocane is another of his projects. What Unitary and We The North share is a dark, atmospheric sound carried by melodic hooks, with weight and technical finesse in the production. We manage the songs in our catalogue.
