About Merrysongs

Merrysongs is the publishing home of The Merrymakers, the power pop duo of David Myhr and Anders Hellgren. Myhr comes from Piteå, and the band found its biggest audience in Japan.

The album No Sleep ’Til Famous arrived in 1995, followed by Bubblegun, while the singles Monument of Me and Superstar landed on the NOW That’s What I Call Music compilations 6 and 8. More than 100,000 albums were sold in Japan, and the duo wrote and produced for Japanese acts such as Puffy AmiYumi. We represent the Merrysongs catalogue and license the songs for film, TV and advertising.
