About Chickenpox

Chickenpox formed in Linköping in 1994 and became one of the Burning Heart Records bands during the Swedish punk and ska wave of the 1990s. The music was up-tempo ska: horn melodies, distorted guitars and choruses that stuck on first listen.

The EP Dinnerdance and Latenightmusic was followed by the albums At Mickey Cohen’s Thursdaynight Pokergame (1996), Stay Away from the Windows (1998) and Approved by the Chickenpox (2001). The band was known for its live shows and split up in 2002. We manage the band’s songs and license them for film, TV and advertising.
