About Emma Bates aka Otur
Emma Bates is a producer and artist based in Malmö who releases music as Otur and under her own name. She was a founding member of The Light Bulb Project, and Otur became her quieter side: techno, trance, tech house and acid rather than the band’s electro disco, with the indie feel still underneath.
The album Pepperbox Hill came out in 2006, followed by And All The Rules in 2009, Twin Behaviour in 2011 and Vargavidderna in May 2026. She has also worked with Honeydrips and Jens Lekman and made remixes. We manage her songs and license them for film, TV and advertising.
