About Gardenia Music

Gardenia Music is the publishing company tied to The Sandmen, the rock band formed in Copenhagen in 1985 with Allan Vegenfeldt on vocals. The debut came in 1987 on the band’s own label Garden Records, followed by Western Blood, released in the United States in 1989 with the hit House in the Country, and Gimme Gimme in 1990.

The band broke up in 1995, reunited in 2003, switched to Danish lyrics on Den bedste dag in 2014 and released Himmelstormer in 2019. The catalogue holds rock with a garage and new wave streak, and we represent it.
