Honey Is Cool

About Honey Is Cool

Honey Is Cool were a Gothenburg band active from 1994 to 2000, with Karin Dreijer on vocals and guitar long before The Knife and Fever Ray, and Håkan Hellström on drums in the mid-1990s.

The albums Crazy Love (1997) and Early Morning Are You Working? (1999) followed the EP Focky Focky No Pay, and in 2000 the band had a radio hit with the Rod Stewart cover Baby Jane. The music was melodic and off-kilter at once, distorted guitars with a dark, naive tone that cut across the pop of the day. The band split in July 2000, and we publish the songs.
