About Stonefunkers

Stonefunkers formed in Gothenburg in 1987 around the brothers Emrik ”M-Rock” Larsson and Torsten ”Top-Steen” Larsson, and were among the first Swedish bands to play funk, go-go and hip hop with a live band. The debut Hard as Kryptonite arrived in 1989, followed by Harder than Kryptonite, No Problem 94, Material and Outstanding in 1998.

Can U Follow was in regular rotation on MTV Europe, and songs like M-Rock Theory and Funkadeena carried a heavy, sweaty groove with traces of disco and hard rock, built for the stage as much as for the record. The band called it a day in 2001 and reunited in 2009. We manage the songs in our catalogue.
